Infographic: Is a College Education still a good investment.
Music is such a great thing to use in your classroom. Especially at the elementary level I have seen it be so effective. A lot of teachers will do rhymes of learning to music so its something that the students can remember. On Audiotool you can create your own personal music, so if you have a rhyme you want the students to remember, such as remembering presidents you can create the most fitting song. I would certainly use this in my classroom kids love the music and have a lot of fun with it. Its also great just to get the students active throughout the day.
Yacapaca is a site where you can create your own personal quizzes or tests. You can do this as either a teacher or you can have your students create quizzes. Like we have done in class I think its always great to let your students create quizzes for their fellow classmates. They could do this after presentations or just to help each other study before a test. It really gives them a hands on approach and also is just something fun to do. Now having so many sites like this it makes it more of an easier thing to do.
This tool along with a lot of others were students can create books are great. As a teacher you can also suprise your students and turn their stories into a book. This could make them for really great, and they will always have something to hold on to from your class and that year. It will also give them great confidence and motivation to continue to well, they will be able to see that their own personal work really can turn into a book. I just think its so great and is for sure something I would use in my classroom, I think students would totally love something like this.
All of these examples in the article were so interesting. I think that pictures are such a great way to show examples. It also gives a image to what you are teaching, a lot of kids are visual learners. So seeing pictures would really help them in their learning. The one that really stuck out to me was Picturing America, it was so neat seeing those pictures. I would personally incorporate those images into a Social Studies lesson. They are great pictures and I really think students would totally love this. When you click on the pictures it even gives you a brief description of what the photo is. There is really everything you could possibly imagine on this website. All the other examples on the website were great.

iPad Mania- K-12 Integration is a podcast I would use myself as a teacher. Its great and shows a lot of advice on how to use the iPad and other technology in the classroom. It also gives a ton of examples and shows apps that align to Common Core Standards, so those apps could be so useful in implementing into my classroom as a teacher. If the school is 1:1 iPads we could use these apps in the classroom. This is the link to the Tennessee learning center where there is more to be learned about this stuff.
Physics in Action is a podcast that shows the application and analysis of physics in a diverse setting such as sports and movies. This can be used in the classroom to introduce physics in a different more interesting way then just through text books, this could keep the students interesting in the material and motivated. They also have a website for other resources which is Physics in Action. Or me as a teacher can learn more about physics and how to bring it into my classroom.
